WAMIT Waterjet Live Cutting at Xi’an Machine Tool Exhibition

Posted by iwonder

From March 16–19, WAMIT Waterjet participated in the Xi’an International Machine Tool Exhibition, presenting continuous live cutting demonstrations that attracted strong attention from engineers, factory owners, and manufacturing professionals.

For us, this exhibition was not about displaying brochures or static equipment. It was about letting the machine run, letting materials be cut on site, and allowing visitors to witness real waterjet performance under real working conditions.

Live Metal Plate Cutting on the Show Floor

Throughout the exhibition, we conducted live cutting tests on various metal plates directly at our booth. Visitors were able to clearly observe:

Clean cutting edges without thermal deformation

Stable cutting performance during continuous operation

High precision when handling complex contours

Smooth surface quality requiring minimal post-processing

These live demonstrations helped visitors immediately understand the practical advantages of ultra-high-pressure waterjet cutting compared to traditional thermal cutting methods.

Second-Generation Servo Direct-Drive Pump in Operation

A major technical highlight at our booth was the operation of our second-generation servo direct-drive pump.

Compared with conventional hydraulic intensifier pumps, this upgraded system demonstrated:

Higher energy efficiency

More stable and precise pressure output

Reduced maintenance frequency

Lower operating noise

Longer service life of core components

Many professional visitors showed strong interest in this pump design, especially in how it can significantly reduce long-term operating costs while improving cutting consistency.

Ultra-High-Speed Waterjet Cutting Platform

In addition to the pump system, our ultra-high-speed waterjet cutting platform was running continuously during the exhibition. Visitors were able to watch the machine perform:

Accurate corner cutting without overcut

Smooth curves and intricate contour cutting

Fast positioning with high repeatability

Stable operation during high-speed movement

This demonstration clearly showed how modern waterjet systems can achieve both speed and precision, meeting the demands of industrial batch production.

Applications Across Multiple Industries

During the four-day exhibition, we had in-depth conversations with visitors from a wide range of industries, including:

Metal fabrication

Automotive parts manufacturing

Aerospace components

Stone and glass processing

Composite materials

Custom fabrication workshops

By observing real cutting processes, visitors quickly connected the technology with their own materials and production challenges.

Exhibition Site

Strong Interest from Professional Visitors

Our booth welcomed a steady flow of professional buyers and engineers who were not only interested in the equipment itself, but also in:

Our manufacturing capability

Equipment stability for long-term industrial use

Customization options for different materials

Technical support and after-sales service

Delivery capability for overseas markets

Seeing actual cutting results gave visitors much greater confidence than reviewing technical parameters alone.

More Than an Exhibition — A Demonstration of Manufacturing Strength

This exhibition was also an opportunity for WAMIT Waterjet to demonstrate the manufacturing strength behind our equipment:

In-house production of core components

Continuous technical upgrades based on real customer feedback

Practical engineering experience from numerous applications

Commitment to improving waterjet reliability and efficiency

Looking Forward After the Exhibition

Although the exhibition has concluded, the discussions and connections made during these four days are continuing. We are currently following up with many visitors who are evaluating waterjet solutions for their factories.

If you were unable to attend the exhibition but are interested in seeing how our equipment performs in real cutting conditions, we welcome you to contact us. We can provide cutting videos, technical details, and customized solutions based on your materials and production requirements.

WAMIT Waterjet remains committed to advancing ultra-high-pressure waterjet cutting technology and helping manufacturers achieve cleaner, more precise, and more efficient cutting processes.
