WAMIT pioneered the direct-drive pump era for water jet cutting in China. In 2014, the first generation of WAMIT servo direct-drive pump was introduced, significantly reducing the operating costs of water jet cutting. This first-generation pump uses a 15 kW servo motor for direct drive, which saves up to 60% of electricity per hour compared to the traditional 37 kW asynchronous motor. Additionally, the direct-drive mechanism eliminates the need for hydraulic and cooling systems.
