Waterjet cutting is a form of cold cutting, widely used in both non-metal and metal processing fields. Compared to traditional machining techniques, it offers distinct advantages.
Today, WAMIT Waterjet shares with you the key considerations that must not be overlooked during waterjet cutting operations:
1. Maintain Safe Distance: During cutting, both operators and unrelated personnel should keep a safe distance from the machine.
2. Secure Small/Light Workpieces: Smaller or lighter workpieces should be securely fixed to prevent displacement during cutting.
3.Ensure Flat Placement: The workpiece must be laid flat to avoid damaging the abrasive nozzle and prevent potential safety accidents.
4.Do Not Manually Correct Displacement: If the workpiece is dislodged by water pressure during cutting, do not attempt to reposition it using any tools or objects.
5.Depressurize Before Handling: Before retrieving materials or changing the nozzle, ensure the high-pressure water switch is turned off and residual pressure is fully released.
6.Adjust Pressure by Material: Use appropriate pressure settings tailored to the type of material being cut.
7.Check Sealing of High-Pressure Components: Monitor the intensifier and high-pressure hoses for proper sealing and any potential leaks.
8.Emergency Power-Off Caution: In case of a sudden power outage, residual high-pressure water may remain in the system. Once power is restored, do not approach the cutting head until all pressure has been safely released.
9.Monitor Equipment Indicators: Operators should regularly check the status lights on the machine to ensure it is functioning normally.
